August 3, 2005 – The Factory opened. And the candy was good. I was almost wishing I had that Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight in my appreciative little hands, nibbling it while we watch.

But Johnny Depp was by far the yummiest-looking morsel you just want to have. **fangirl scream**

The movie was an eye candy, figuratively and literally. “Everything you see here is eatable,” the man in that hot plum-colored suit said. [EVEN Willy Wonka (aka fafa Johnny Depp), but that’s cannibalism already] Kyaaa~ HE'S EFFING GORGEOUS!! Ehem… Most of it remained faithful to the book, with a few exceptions, like Wonka’s childhood experience (where you get to see Count Dukku/Saruman as your antagonistic dentist). But hey, I’m not complaining. XD [Huge thanks to <lj user=aoimidori> for lending me the book]

Personal fave is Mike Teavee, that warfreak kid shouting “DIE! DIE DIE!” over the din of the reporters around him. XD




DIE! DIE! DIE!! **maniacal laughter**

Oompa-Loompas are kewl. Deep Roy rocks. XD

Veruca’s father, Mister Salt, kinda looked like Gill Grissom (William Petersen)… or is it just me? Syet. I think I’m watching too much CSI for my own good. ~__~

And speaking of CSI… why did Speedle (Rory Cochrane) have to die? T__T He was my favorite! Nyur. And to think that was the first episode of Miami’s new series… What a loss... ~__~

Have downloaded the Willy Wonka theme from Globe just to satiate my obsession. Currently searching the net for more Johnny Depp goodness. Will draw him later. XD
