Lee&Gaara: Save d World from Cavities!
FULL VIEW OR YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO READ IT!  -- not true, apparently, but full view anyway!  I was lying on my stomach one day when I suddenly concocted this piece of deviation for our organization’s newsletter. It was dated August 26, 2004… so why post it only now? The answer: I don’t know.  Maybe I was a bit hesitant to show some of my works to other fellow deviants back then. I still do, though… at times…   Filipino deviants, you’d probably seen this as a rip-off from one of our commercials on local television. It was from (yeah, you guessed right…) Colgate! I just thought that Rock Lee would be a perfect model for the toothpaste, and with Gaara in tow, they make a VERY CUTE TANDEM!  Colored this in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and with a very lazy me, because I didn’t bother putting highlights and some other shadows and whatnot. I deviated from my usual low-opacity brushes and opted for solid colors.  Basically I stuck with the traditional flats-shadows scheme, so it’ll have a distinctive anime feel at some point. Finished this after two hours with a faulty mouse that just REFUSED to follow me!  Also, this is my FIRST DEVIATION TO HAVE USED MORE THAN ONE LAYER!  Believe it or not! But I still think one layer rocks! So fork me!   ENJOY! |
