 ! This is my commissioned piece that got me my one year sub!  My first attempt to draw Hikaru from the manga/anime Hikaru no Go. Fell in love with the art style~ Obata Takeshi, the artist behind that, is one hell of a talented mangaka. **envious** He is also the artist for the uver-awesome Death Note, both former and latter titles serialized by Shounen Jump, the publisher behind great anime hits like Naruto, YGO, Bleach, HUnter x Hunter, among others. XD Done this in colored pencils, a mix of Faber Castell and Coleen. Color levels and output manipulated in Photoshop 7.0 to make it more... appealing XD Special thanks to my buddy and partner-in-crime, ~chicharon for scanning and putting some effects XD Couldn't think of a proper background so I thought of a giant GO board This piece will be featured in  upcoming artbook. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
